So apparently there is "talk" of the want of a street tire class or program in a thread on forumshawaii.  I've been following it for a day or so, and decided to chime in tonight.  Basically, I questioned them as to who would actually show up if there was a street tire class, and who would attend every event if there was the class.  Of course the AWD guys want it as they have the inherent advantage, moreso they said it should be a real street tires, no drag radials at all.

I also mentioned that the Super Street class never had a full field this past season, and in reality, attendance is very important to sustain the series.  I think they should just get over it and buy some slicks. If they want to use street tires or drag radials, let them, but not at the hassle of making a new class.

my personal opinion for me, I wouldn't waste my time with street tires, I came to go fast and will do what ever needed to do so. some say its bragging rights, I mainly think its a way for the owners of slow cars to cop out. "yea, slow cuz I was running street tires" LOL.

x2

Unless say you have a Mustang or Supra that can run 8's or better w/ drag radials...then that's true bragging rights.  Or this car: http://www.grs-motorsports.com/noticias/foro/vids/939.wmv

 Forums Hawaii has some dumb ass threads. Stray-Kat Motorsports only puts on worth wile events for dedicated racers. We will have another class this year but it wont be for the wana be racers!! Everyone who has entered the Stray-Kat events are the fastest imports on the island!!!

   Ill lay down some rules on another post.

Forumshawaii=keyboard racing at it's finest....

If only half of those guys would come out and actually race, there might actually be a full field in either S/S or O/L.
